🗺️ ENDALOR Region One — Complete Zone Guide
Region One is the entire currently available world in ENDALOR Early Access. It is a vast handcrafted region stretching from the relatively safe Starting Plains through the haunted Ancient Ruins Zone and into the dangerous Rocky Highlands controlled by the Lizard faction and Golem guardians. This complete Region One guide on endalor.wiki maps every zone, marks key points of interest, identifies resource nodes, locates merchant traders, and uncovers the hidden secrets that reward thorough exploration.
🌿 Starting Plains
⭐ Beginner FriendlyThe Starting Plains is the entry point of ENDALOR and the most accessible zone in the first region. It is a grassland and light forest biome with abundant basic resources, the tutorial-adjacent starting camp, and the first NPC merchant. Enemy density is low and enemy types are manageable even for ungeared new players.
📍 Key Locations
Starting Camp
Contains loot barrels, sacks, and the Lizard Man Trader NPC. Loot everything here immediately on spawn. The trader buys gems and sells essential early items.
First Forest Clearing
Dense tree coverage providing excellent early Wood supply. Multiple berry bushes for Red Berries. Low-level Skeletal Wanderer patrols at the forest edges.
River Crossing
A river running through the Starting Plains provides an excellent water source. Build your first base nearby for convenient hydration.
Scattered Ruins Cluster
Small ruined structures dotted across the plains contain loot barrels with random early items. Low-risk exploration for new players.
🌿 Resources
- ▸ Wood (abundant)
- ▸ Stone
- ▸ Plant Fiber (abundant)
- ▸ Red Berries
- ▸ Carrots
- ▸ Beetroot
- ▸ Herbs
- ▸ Small Gems (Topaz)
💀 Enemies
- ⚔ Deer (passive — 100 XP each)
- ⚔ Skeletal Wanderers (low level)
- ⚔ Occasional Lizard Grunts at zone borders
💡 Tips
- ▸ Establish your first base in the Starting Plains — safe, resource-rich, and close to the first merchant.
- ▸ Deer give 100 XP each and drop animal resources. Hunt them aggressively for fast early leveling.
- ▸ Explore every ruined structure for loot barrels — they respawn over time and provide consistent early supplies.
🏚️ Ancient Ruins Zone
⭐⭐ IntermediateThe Ancient Ruins Zone occupies the central portion of Region One. It is the territory of the Undead Skeletal Legion faction — a haunted landscape of crumbling castles, overgrown graveyards, ruined villages, and underground crypt networks. Resources here are more valuable than the Starting Plains, particularly Dark Cloth and Bone dropped by Skeletal enemies.
📍 Key Locations
Central Ruined Castle
The largest structure in the Ancient Ruins Zone. Multiple floors, numerous Skeletal enemies, and the Skeletal Champion boss in its deepest chamber. Contains the best loot in this zone.
Ruined Village Cluster
A group of collapsed stone houses with Skeletal Warrior patrols. Contains scattered loot and crafting components. Good mid-game farming location.
Underground Crypt Entrance
A cave entrance leading to the underground crypt — an extended dungeon area beneath the Ancient Ruins Zone with increased enemy difficulty and rare loot.
Ancient Ruins Merchant Outpost
A secondary trader NPC location tucked within a fortified portion of the ruins. Sells mid-tier items and buys higher-value gems at good prices.
🌿 Resources
- ▸ Dark Cloth (from Skeletal Warriors)
- ▸ Bone (from Skeletal Warriors)
- ▸ Herbs
- ▸ Stone
- ▸ Topaz Gems
- ▸ Dungeon Loot (chests)
💀 Enemies
- ⚔ Skeletal Wanderers
- ⚔ Skeletal Warriors
- ⚔ Skeletal Archers
- ⚔ Skeletal Champion (boss — castle interior)
💡 Tips
- ▸ Never enter the ruined castle without at least Dark Cloth armor and a full stack of Health Potions.
- ▸ Use chokepoints — doorways and narrow corridors — to fight Skeletal Warriors one at a time.
- ▸ The Skeletal Archer position on the castle ramparts must be eliminated before you engage melee enemies inside.
⛰️ Rocky Highlands
⭐⭐⭐ AdvancedThe Rocky Highlands is the most dangerous zone in the current Early Access build. It is the primary territory of both the Lizard Faction and the Stone Golem Guardians — two of the most formidable enemy types in Region One. However, it also contains the richest resource nodes, including Iron Ore deposits and rare gem clusters essential for endgame crafting progression.
📍 Key Locations
Cave Network Entrances
Multiple cave entrances throughout the Highlands lead into the underground cavern system below Region One. These are the primary access points to deep underground exploration and its exclusive loot.
Lizard Faction Fortified Outpost
A walled compound in the heart of Lizard territory. Heavy enemy presence. Contains the Lizard Warlord boss and significant loot including rare crafting materials and large coin rewards.
Mountain Pass Overlook
An elevated vantage point with panoramic views over the region. Key strategic location for spotting enemy patrol routes and planning approach paths. Occasional rare loot chest.
Hidden Treasure Cave
A concealed cave entrance tucked behind a rock formation in the northwest Highlands. Contains a rare loot chest with above-average item quality. Guarded by a Stone Golem.
Iron Ore Deposits
Concentrated Iron Ore veins in the rocky outcrops of the Highlands. Primary source of Iron for endgame crafting. Guarded by Golem enemies in most locations.
🌿 Resources
- ▸ Iron Ore (abundant)
- ▸ Coal
- ▸ Diamond Gems (rare)
- ▸ Lizard Lungs (from Lizard Grunts)
- ▸ Stone Golem Fragments
- ▸ Rare crafting materials
💀 Enemies
- ⚔ Lizard Grunts
- ⚔ Lizard Spearmen
- ⚔ Stone Golems
- ⚔ Lizard Warlord (boss — fortified outpost)
💡 Tips
- ▸ Do not enter Rocky Highlands without Iron armor or at minimum full Dark Cloth set. Lizard enemies will kill you quickly otherwise.
- ▸ Iron Ore deposits are often near or guarded by Golems. Clear the Golem first, then mine safely.
- ▸ Use high terrain to break Lizard enemy line of sight after aggroing them — this resets their patrol and allows you to pick engagements on your terms.
